Since April 11th, 2008, Lincoln County residents who want to go to a flea market no longer have to cross the county line.
The Lincolnton Flea Market, located at 610 Wilma Sigmon Road, opened at 7 a.m. that morning. For Gene Poinsette, who is opening the flea market along with wife Christine, it’s the culmination of a lot of hard work and preparation.
While Poinsette says that anyone can rent tables and set up an area at the flea market, he also says the hope is to make the venue as upscale as possible. “We don’t want it to turn into a big rummage sale,” he said. The Poinsettes say they’re trying to make everything as easy as possible for the vendors – and for the customers.
There's Never A Charge To Enter The Lincolnton Flea Market.
